As the start of another school year is upon us, (parents give a sigh of relief!) it is wise to make sure of your child’s safety when carrying bags to school. Often times I see kids carrying upwards of 25% of their body weight!!! You put a textbook, gym clothes and a packed lunch, you’re more than likely nearing or exceeding the recommended 10% of a child’s body weight. This is especially important as they continue to grow and develop, that unnecessary or unbalanced forces are not imparted on a daily basis.
